NEW DELHI, INDIA: Zenith Computers, the second largest Indian PC manufacturer today announced the launch of a new laptop and desktop under the brand name 'EcoStyle'. The Zenith EcoStyle laptop priced at Rs 14,999, will be the lowest priced Windows OS enabled laptop in the market; while the desktop PC will be available at a highly competitive market price of Rs 11,999.
TheEcoStyle PC and laptop will be available across India in time for the festive season. Zenith's chain of 800 authorized dealers and 350 exclusive showrooms will stock these computers.
The announcement, made by Raj Saraf, CMD, Zenith Computers, and Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Microsoft India, is an effort by the companies to further their initiatives in the affordable computing space.
The cheap laptop,EcoStyle, is ideal for the youth, with its aesthetically designed, state-of-the-art trendy features and the host of content available on it. The laptop is Net enabled, and comes preloaded with the Microsoft productivity suite: an Operating System (Windows XP Home Edition), Microsoft Works (includes Word Processor, spreadsheets and PPT viewer), and Microsoft Windows Live Suite (Includes Email Client, Messenger and Family Safety from Windows Live OneCare).
Windows Live OneCare research has shown that most homes now have approximately 2.5 computers. This means that in addition to securing and maintaining multiple PCs, consumers now need to do the extra work associated with connecting devices and securing networks. To ease this burden, features such as multi-PC and home network management as well as printer sharing have been added to OneCare to help address the needs of the modern home environment.
This new version of Windows Live OneCare also establishes a foundation to better fill the needs of small businesses. Many small businesses need to protect and maintain a number of PCs, but may not have the resources for extensive onsite IT support. To help solve this problem, centralized backup has been added to OneCare so local backup on a small business network is a simple step instead of a time consuming hassle.

WiFi security:
Keep your home or small business wireless network safe with the new Windows Live OneCare WiFi security feature. Centralized backup: Enables users to centrally configure and monitor backups for all PCs covered under the same Windows Live OneCare subscription, with the data from all PCs backed up to a central location.
