My feeling of the game Escape the Museum

In some status, Escape the Museum is like puzzle game Azada, which you adventure in the plot, and have to answer the puzzles to pass.

Escape the Museum is an utterly fascinating adventure/hidden object game for Windows/Mac that reaches into room escape territory for inspiration. In it, you play as Susan Anderson, a museum curator showing her daughter a dinosaur exhibit when a fierce earthquake rocks the building. Falling debris knocks Susan unconscious, and when she wakes she discovers she's trapped in the room and Caitlin is missing! Find the objects you'll need to reach the exit, and then recover precious museum artifacts as you work on the way through the rubble searching for your daughter.

Theadventure with puzzles game Escape the Museum is coming into their own, ditching the tiring lists of dozens of items to find in favor of shorter seek-and-find experiences everyone can enjoy. Puzzle elements are fairly light but still deliver a good punch, forcing you to scratch your head once or twice, and then quickly rewarding you with the solution. The museum environment feels old and dusty and conveys the post-earthquake feeling extraordinarily well, complete with small rumblings from time to time. The cut scenes are interesting, but I found the voice acting and dialogue a bit too amateurish for my taste, and the "skip" button doesn't progress things fast enough.

Once you complete a task in an area you'll unlock new puzzles that will either open new rooms to explore or new puzzles in places you've already been. The backtracking isn't as exciting as uncovering a new scene, but it's handled well and doesn't feel too stale. All of this makes Escape the Museum a surprisingly long game, nearly twice the length of similar titles! An excellent expedition into the realm of adventure/hidden object hybrids that delivers everything it should in a well-thought out package.

Above all, I like play Escape the Museum!

Adventure in the Museum

This week, I find another adventure game--Escape the Museum. I feel that it is just like Azada or the Dream Chronicles, which are adventure with puzzles in hidden object games.

Escape the Museum is a unique game pulling on the familiar Hidden Object mechanic while building on the casual-friendly Adventure game play. It is an utterly fascinating adventure game for both Windows and Mac that reaches into room escape territory for inspiration.

In Escape the Museum, you play as Susan Anderson, who is a museum curator showing her daughter a dinosaur exhibit when a fierce earthquake rocks the building. Falling debris knocks Susan unconscious, and when she wakes she discovers she's trapped in the room and Caitlin is missing! To find the objects you have to reach the exit, and then recover precious museum artifacts when walking on the way through the rubble searching for her daughter.

Susan is in contact with several co-workers who provide hints via cell phone, telling her which items she'll need to clear a path to the exit. These usually consist of simple assembly puzzles that require you to locate items or item components and use them in the appropriate area to continue. For example, finding a flashlight and then having to locate batteries and a bulb to make it work, all of which are second nature to room escape fans and adventure enthusiasts alike. Once you've reached the exit, another worker asks you to recover precious museum property from the broken exhibits in a seek-and-find-style.

There are two types of item hunting scenes you'll come across in Escape the Museum. The first is the usual "find the list" fare where you have a specified set of items to locate in the rubble. The second is to find ten of a particular item in the scene. Some of the latter puzzles are a bit vague, bordering on the unfair (find ten dinosaur bones in the room with a big dinosaur skeleton?!), but the challenge level is just about right for us casual players.

In addition to puzzle solving and object finding, you'll also complete several jigsaw-style levels where you'll find and piece together precious items within the museum. And what archaeology-flavored experience would be complete without the Indiana Jones-style "grab the item and replace it with something of equal weight" gimmick? Escape the Museum has them all, and they're nicely woven into the story and don't feel too contrived.

To adventure in the Museum! Have fun as Susana!

My comment on Azada

Three weeks ago, I download Azada on http://www.azureusgame.com/ . In some status, it is rather good.

Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html plays like a delicious blend of a Mystery adventure with a casual puzzle game. The story keeps interested in the long-run, while the variety of puzzles treating you from moment to moment with new entertainment. And it's horrendously addictive. Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html is a top notch magical mystery for all ages.

From another aspect, Azada's http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html greatest strength can also be a main weakness-variety. The item-hunting stages are superb, but every puzzle page you encounter won't be as entertaining. Not everyone likes jigsaw puzzles or memory matching games, which could make some roll their eyes in disgust every time one of these comes around. Fortunately you can use purple gems to skip puzzles, and Its is forgiving enough to keep the difficulty low so you can complete them and move on to greener pastures.

Its presentation is excellent on all fronts. The music and sound effects match the mysterious atmosphere but keep things light-hearted and charming. There are a number of small visual effects that brighten up the scenes and liven-up the otherwise still scenery.

Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html is an alarmingly entertaining game with good variety and a delightful set of puzzles. The Myst-like atmosphere melding with Hidden Expedition-type items hunting makes it extremely addictive, and the slight touch of adventure keeps you in for the long haul.

Above all, it is a wonderful adventure game. Have fun!!!

Adventure in Azada

Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html is completely addicting adventure game fun.It combines elements from a number of casual genres to create a game that's one of the most unique titles

I've played for almost a month. Take a point-and-click game such as Myst, then combine it with item hunting from Mystery Case Files and throw in a dash of short puzzles just for fun. Hum, everything is so elegantly and charming that you can't help but keep playing, both to uncover the rest of the story and to experience more puzzles.

At the beginning of Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html , I came in a locked room listening to a spirit named Titus who has been imprisoned by his great uncle. In order to release him I must solve a series of puzzles within his manor. The puzzles are presented in the form of pages of a book with eight making up each chapter. As you piece together these chapters, more of Titus' story is revealed. In each page, I came into challenges with a different type of puzzle to solve, ranging from matching games to sliding tile puzzles, memory matching and much more.

The most common task I undertook is item-hunting, which just happens to be the most enjoyable part of playing Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html . In these levels I saw a still scene of a room inside the mansion. Move the cursor around and watch for sparkles indicating what you can interact with. Click to uncover items, clues, or new parts of the puzzle I need to complete the page. Many of the rooms have a number of items you'll need to find and use in conjunction with each other, and creating several "stages" within the page. The difficult level in these puzzles is fine-tuned to give you just enough challenge to keep you interested but not frustrate you.

Of course, each chapter of Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html usually has around 30 minutes' time limit. I always can't finish tasks in the limit time. So when you were playing, you can request hints during the item-hunting scenes at the cost of 5 minutes each, but use them sparingly! Azada http://www.azureusgame.com/Puzzles/Azada.html also give a limited number of gems to use that allow you to skip puzzles.

Have fun from Azada! Happy everyday J

Build My Most Desired House in Build-a-lot

I thought that the world of real estate intimidating, but HipSoft's tycoon game Build-a-lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html makes it seem easy. With a few clicks of the mouse I can build the houses dreaming of. Also I can buy, renovate and sell properties in one time.

Build-a-lot's http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html interface is colorful and very easy to get the hang of. for example, to construct a high building, , all the work you have to do is click on an empty lot and select the type of building you want, and then your construction crew will get to work provided. Of course, you have the required blueprint, enough workers to do the job and enough building materials, all of which cost money. Again, ordering these items is as simple as clicking a tab from the menu at the bottom of the screen and selecting the appropriate icons. In addition to houses, you can construct various buildings that grant unique advantages. For example, to building a workhouse, this lets your hiring new workers at half price and gives you the ability to inspect houses so that they never have to be repaired. A bank can give you collect interest on your money. And with a post office you can receive letters at any of the houses you own that typically contain some kind of check or refund that gives you a little boost of extra cash.

In Career mode of Build-a-lothttp://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html , you can assume the role of a contractor who works with the mayors of eight different towns to improve property value and curb appeal. In each level the mayor gives you a specific set of goals - typically three or four - to complete in a set time limit such as build a post office, build four Tudor-style homes, earn a rental income of $60,000 per month, or earn a total of $250,000 cash. Achieving these goals requires balancing various resources and managing your all-important cash flow. You'll start each level owning a certain number of vacant lots, which can be developed any way you choose. You can build a variety of different houses, from modest one-level ramblers to ostentatious estates, mansions and even castles. You can also build other structures like banks, workhouses, sawmills, museums and skating rinks.

It also adds to the experience greatly that each mayor has a distinct personality that influences what he or she asks you to do. One mayor, for example, is partial to Tudor-style homes and will ask you to build a lot of them; another wants to attract wealthy retirees by building estates on premium lakefront land, while another is concerned about safety in her hillside town and makes a fire station the first priority. When you've completed each town, the mayor will give you a valued and unique personal possession as a memento.

Do you like Build-a-lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html ? I have played it for a long time. It has brought me a lot fun!

In Build-a-lothttp://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html , rub elbows with the mayors of eight locales where I buy and sell land, build and upgrade homes and special buildings, and help communities make their dreams a reality and thrive. The settings take builders from ornery towns and the countryside to the not-so-wild west known as Granite Springs and to Palm Grove, a Hollywoodish spot aiming to have its own film festival in hopes that it rivals Cannes.

The main factors I do in Build-a-lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html includes buying blueprints, training workers, purchasing materials, inspecting houses to stave off damage, and building, of course. The steps to take depend on the goal and resources available. Two special buildings, the Workshop and the Sawmill provide added bonuses in lowering the cost of training workers and the price of lumber. However I must spend money and workers in building these which don't bring in any rent money.

I can also build two types of banks, one where all profits go to charity and one where you keep the profits. However, keeping the profits means Mr. Taxman will come knocking on your door with a huge property tax bill especially on larger homes. If you don't have much money, you will fell that the tax bill climbs faster than a credit card with high interest rates.

Build-a-Lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html gives players more freedom for creativity. I'd like to see more buildings to include a special feature like the one that comes with the post office. After building the first post office, I can get mail at any of the places you own. These letters are usually the bearer of great news and added funds - small but helpful. Perhaps, the cinema could send movie rentals and a much needed break from hard labor. Is it a good idea?

If you don't know what to do after work, you can play Build-a-Lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html , just like me to construct you own houses! *-* You can download a free trail on http://www.azureusgame.com/ . ^-^

A complete introduction of the game Build-a-lot

Aside from Career mode there's also a Casual mode where you can play each of the eight towns separately and start from scratch (with no blueprints) with the goal of raising a certain amount of money in as fast a time as possible. You can post and compare your best times online with other players, and your record also shows the number of workers and materials used.

The best part about Build-a-lot http://www.azureusgame.com/Action/Build-a-lot.html is that you don't have to know a lot about real estate, or be a serious number-cruncher, to succeed and have fun. The game has a wonderful tutorial that walks you through the basics, and through exquisite pacing introduces new challenges and game play concepts in a manageable and logical progression.

I have given you a complete introduction. Is it excellent enough? Download a free trail from http://www.azureusgame.com/ .
Have a good weekend! ^-^
